Terms of use

Effective 6 October 2026 · Last updated 6 October 2026

These terms apply when you use Tevo to discover events, book tickets, host an event, or manage admission. Read them together with the event details, checkout breakdown, and our privacy policy before making a booking.

Tevo and event organisers

Tevo provides listing, booking, payment coordination, ticket delivery, and check-in tools at tevo.remitaiapp.com. The organiser identified on the event page is responsible for delivering the event, its venue, safety, advertised content, and lawful entry conditions. Tevo is responsible for the platform services it provides. Listing an event is not a guarantee of its quality or an endorsement of its organiser.

Accounts and eligibility

Provide accurate contact and booking information and keep your account secure. Guest checkout is available, but you must keep your ticket email and recovery links. You must have the legal capacity or appropriate parent or guardian authority to make a purchase. Follow any event age restrictions. Organisers must have authority to host the event and to use the payout account they provide.

Booking and payment

Check the event, dates, venue, ticket tier, included sessions, quantities, registration requirements, and total before paying. The event’s time zone is authoritative; any “Your time” display uses your device settings. A waiting-list place or temporary reservation is not a confirmed ticket.

Prices are in Nigerian naira. Checkout shows the ticket subtotal, applicable Tevo fee, and total. Depending on the event’s fee model, the buyer pays the fee or the organiser absorbs it. Free tickets have no Tevo fee. The amount shown for your checkout governs that purchase; later fee changes do not rewrite an existing order.

Payments are handled by the provider shown during checkout. A return from the payment page or a transfer screenshot is not payment confirmation: Tevo verifies the provider’s result before issuing paid tickets. If you are charged without a confirmed booking, retain your payment reference and contact support before paying again.

Tickets and admission

Keep ticket codes, QR images, and possession links private. Sharing them can allow another person to present your ticket. A saved image does not override the ticket’s current server status.

A ticket is valid only for its event, tier, and included dates or sessions. Cancelled, refunded, pending, and expired tickets cannot be used for entry. A ticket normally admits once for each included session; repeat admission depends on the event’s re-entry setting. The organiser may apply lawful, clearly disclosed venue or safety conditions.

Contact the organiser or support about an admission error. These terms do not remove your right to redress for an invalid ticket, incorrect refusal, or failure to deliver a purchased service.

Changes, cancellations, and refunds

Contact the organiser and Tevo if an event is cancelled, materially changed, or not delivered. Organisers must communicate changes and cooperate with refund handling. Any event-specific cancellation restrictions or reasonable charges must be disclosed before purchase and cannot override rights under Nigerian consumer law.

Buyer cancellation requests are assessed against the event’s disclosed conditions and applicable law. There is no blanket “all sales final” rule. A postponed event does not automatically remove a refund entitlement where the law provides one. Refunds for a cancelled or undelivered service must be addressed promptly.

Tevo’s refund tools reverse the amount allocated to a ticket through its payment provider, including the applicable buyer-paid fee. Provider acceptance can be pending; completion depends on provider and bank processing. We cannot promise an exact credit date, and will explain the status where available. Tickets become unusable when their cancellation or refund status takes effect. Travel and accommodation booked separately are governed by their own providers’ terms and your applicable legal rights.

Organiser responsibilities

Publish accurate descriptions, prices, dates, locations, capacity, age limits, accessibility information where relevant, and cancellation conditions. Obtain required permissions and rights to uploaded content. Keep payout details accurate, honour confirmed bookings, and communicate event changes.

Use attendee information only for justified event purposes, protect it, and provide your own privacy information where required. A ticket purchase is not permission for unrelated advertising. Do not request unnecessary sensitive data.

Settlement depends on the active payment provider. Paystack may settle an organiser split through its subaccount system. With OPay, Tevo records the organiser’s share as payable and settlement requires a separate payout. A successful sale or payout record is not a promise of instant settlement. Refunds, chargebacks, account verification, and unresolved payment issues can affect the amount or timing; contact Tevo for your settlement status.

Acceptable use and content

Do not publish fraudulent or unlawful events, impersonate others, resell or copy tickets deceptively, misuse attendee data, bypass access controls, or interfere with checkout or scanning. You retain rights in your event content and permit Tevo to store, display, and deliver it as needed to provide the service.

Tevo may restrict accounts or listings where necessary to address misuse, safety issues, or legal obligations. Contact support to challenge an error. Restrictions do not automatically cancel our outstanding payment, refund, or consumer obligations.

Service responsibility and your rights

We take reasonable care in providing Tevo and handling reported faults. Interruptions and provider delays can occur; keep booking references and report problems promptly. The organiser remains responsible for event delivery, and Tevo remains responsible for its own conduct and platform services.

Nothing here excludes liability for fraud, negligence, misrepresentation, defective performance, or any obligation that cannot lawfully be excluded. Your rights under the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act 2018 and other applicable Nigerian laws take priority over conflicting platform or organiser conditions. Personal information is handled as described in our privacy policy.

Contact, disputes, and changes

Contact tickets@remitaiapp.com with your event name, booking reference, and a description of the issue. Do not send banking passwords, PINs, or a full card number. You may also seek help from the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission or exercise your right to approach a competent court.

Nigerian law governs these terms, without removing any mandatory protection that applies to you. We publish updates here and notify you of material changes where required. New terms apply prospectively; they do not retrospectively remove rights attached to an existing purchase.
