Prepare the scanner
- Open Scan in the Organiser workspace, or open the scanner as an authorised staff member. Accept your staff invitation if one is shown.
- Select the event. For an event with multiple sessions, select the session you are admitting guests to.
- Choose Scan QR code and allow camera access when your browser asks.
Verify and grant entry
- Point the camera at the guest’s ticket QR code. You can also enter the ticket code or link and select Verify.
- Read the result and check the event, ticket type, and session. Verification checks the ticket; it does not record admission.
- When the result allows entry, select Grant entry and wait for the confirmation before admitting the guest.
- Select Next ticket to continue.
A repeat scan may be rejected when the ticket has already been used. Re-entry depends on the event’s settings.
Prepare for an unreliable connection
- While connected and signed in, select the event and choose Download offline list. Wait until Tevo confirms the list is ready.
- Turn on Use offline list if needed, and use the downloaded list on that same device.
- Use one offline scanner per entrance. Disconnected devices cannot check each other’s scans or receive later ticket changes.
- Reconnect after scanning. Check the queued scans, select Sync if needed, and review any conflicts reported.
Keep the device’s browser data until all scans have synced. If the download has expired or cannot complete, reconnect and prepare a fresh list. Use online check-in when an event is too large for the device’s offline list.
When a ticket is rejected
Read the reason shown. Check that you selected the right event and session, and ask the guest to open the correct ticket. Cancelled, refunded, expired, or previously used tickets may not allow entry.
If the camera cannot read a QR code, use the ticket code or link and select Verify. If the result still appears wrong, ask the organiser to review the booking; do not rely on a payment screenshot as proof of a valid ticket.
