Refunds and cancellations

Check the event’s cancellation conditions before booking. If something goes wrong, keep your booking and payment references so the organiser and Tevo can investigate.

Request a refund

  1. Find the booking in My tickets or your ticket email.
  2. Review the event’s published cancellation and refund conditions.
  3. Contact the organiser using any contact details provided in the event description or their event announcement. If none are provided, contact Tevo directly. Explain the issue and include your booking reference.
  4. If you cannot resolve it, email tickets@remitaiapp.com with the event name, booking reference, payment reference if paid, and the reason for your request.

A request is not an automatic approval. Buyer cancellation requests depend on the event conditions and applicable rights. Event conditions cannot remove rights under Nigerian consumer law. Read the refund terms.

Cancelled or changed events

If the event is cancelled, materially changed, or not delivered, contact the organiser and Tevo. Organisers must explain the change and cooperate with refund handling. A postponement does not automatically remove any refund entitlement provided by law.

Keep any cancellation notice and your booking details. Tickets marked cancelled or refunded cannot be used for entry, including a downloaded copy.

Refund amounts and timing

Tevo’s refund tools request the amount allocated to the refunded ticket, including its allocated buyer-paid Tevo fee. For a booking with several tickets, refunding one ticket does not refund the entire order. Ask support for the breakdown if it is unclear.

Approval, the provider accepting a refund request, and the money reaching your bank are separate steps. A refund can be pending while Paystack and the bank process it. Tevo does not promise a fixed credit date; contact support with the refund reference if you need a status update.

Separately booked travel or accommodation follows the relevant provider’s terms and your applicable rights.

Payment and free-ticket questions

Charged but no confirmed ticket?

Return to the booking confirmation or My tickets and check the status. Keep the payment reference and contact support if it remains unconfirmed. Avoid another payment while the first one is unresolved.

Can a free ticket be refunded?

There is no payment to return. A free ticket can be cancelled; it will then be unusable for entry.

Will support need my bank PIN or QR code?

No. Send references and the issue, and keep passwords, PINs, full card details, and ticket QR images private.

For organisers

Publish clear entry and cancellation conditions before selling tickets. Notify attendees of changes and contact Tevo promptly about cancelled or undelivered events. Only authorised organisers or admins can process ticket refunds.

Review the ticket and amount before confirming a refund. If it is already being processed, check the status rather than submitting it again. Coordinate with Tevo if a booking has already settled or you need help with the payment provider.
